BUSINESS THEATRE AND EVENTS

National Agreement

The Business Theatre and Events Agreement covers any type of industrial/corporate live performance (e.g., trade shows, product launches, conventions, promotional events and interactive performances) for which the primary purpose is to promote, either directly or indirectly, a product or service, including public or educational services, or to inform groups of employees or clients.

The contract is paid at a daily rate and employment need not be continuous, unless the Actor is required to be away from home. Weekly rates are in effect for continuous employment of five days or more. All actors and stage managers must be signed to Equity contracts. Bonding is not required, and you paychecks may be issued as long as 12 business days following the week worked. Touring is permitted.

The current agreement began on December 28, 2020 and expires on January 1, 2023.

Members can view the Business Theatre and Events Rulebook in the Rulebook Library in the Member Portal.
